Nestled in the heart of Meursault, Domaine Guy Bocard traces its origins to the 1920s, when Charles Bocard pioneered bottling and marketing the estate's wines, predating the official Meursault appellation established in 1937. Passed down through generations, the domaine reached new heights under Guy Bocard, who led it for nearly 50 years from 1976 until his retirement at the end of 2020. During his tenure, he constructed the modern winery on Rue de Mazeray and expanded the holdings, solidifying the estate's renowned style.
In 2018, the Derichebourg family, ardent proponents of terroir and sustainable viticulture, acquired the property and swiftly initiated a conversion to organic farming with Guy Bocard's guidance. The domaine achieved full organic certification from the 2022 vintage and now spans 5.6 hectares of exclusively white wines, primarily Chardonnay with touches of Aligoté, across village and Premier Cru sites including Charmes and Genevrières.
Following Guy Bocard's departure in 2022, the family enlisted acclaimed winemaker Philippe Pacalet to redefine the estate's style and train the team, while entrusting day-to-day management to Henri Binoche, who also oversees the family's Château de Crémat. Today, Domaine Guy Bocard blends over a century of heritage with innovative, organic excellence.
